Music and arts
- Theatre and acting – Have been involved in various amateur shows, most recently the Aberdeen Students’ Charities Campaign’s Student Show in 2008.
- Drawing, painting and digital arts – Started doing web design at age twelve.
- Composing music – I have been making music (mainly pop, with the occasional foray into other genres) since age twelve, and performed at a number of local festivals (see http://imaginatron.bandcamp.com for demo recordings).
- Musical instruments: Trombone (took lessons for five years), guitar (took lessons for two years), piano (self-taught), synthesizer (self-taught), accordeon (self-taught), tin whistle (self-taught).
Sports and outdoor activities
- Scottish country and ceilidh dancing (also some amateur Highland dancing).
- Iwama Ryu Aikido – Practiced for one and a half year and acquired a 6th Kyu.
- Scouting – I have been a scout since age eight. I was assisting scoutleader for the youngest children in the local scout troop for two years (August 2002 – May 2004) and maintained the same scout troop’s web site for a number of years.
